A lot of people feel that you lose your privacy when you stay in a Barcelona bed and breakfast. I feel you can choose how much interaction you want with the other people staying there. Sometimes I really have a lot in common with the other guests and we enjoy the exchange of information on interesting places to see. Other times I stay to myself, coming and going and hardly ever running in to other guests. Other complaints are when you stay in a Barcelona bed and breakfast, you have to share bathrooms with the other guests, but I have found most people are courteous and keep the bathrooms clean. Overall, staying in a Barcelona bed and breakfast gives you a much more personal experience in a foreign city.
