Barcelona has an enormous number of sites and tourist attractions worth visiting. It has been a centre of art and architecture dating back from the days of yore to the modern day. Culture vultures everywhere.. i enjoy the visit to the Pablo Picasso museum located in the Cuitat Vella district. The Museum has the most important and exhaustive collections of the works of Pablo Picasso's youth and education, in particular between 1895 and 1904 when Picasso lived in Barcelona . All over the city I found spectacular examples of the architecture from the modernist works of Gaudi to the latest works that were erected for the Olympic games of 1992. Barcelona has the rich architectural works of Antonio Gaudi .
I got to climb the fantastic Sagrada Familia is his most famous work and, like Big Ben in London or the Eiffel tower in Paris , it has come to symbolise the city. i was impress knowing that Gaudi was still working on the Sagrada Familia until his death in 1926 and it is still being worked on today as the plan to realise his vision continues. The centrepiece of the city's infrastructure is La Rambla - the walking street. The Gothic quarter, which is a result of the incredible economic activity in the city during its first economic boom during the middle ages, is now a romantic, picturesque myriad of streets and shops, where one can admire the wonderful gothic buildings.
Nice ride by taxi along the beautiful marina with everything from huge floating palatial yachts to fishing boats next to calm and clear beaches. The Montjuic Mountain, where one can enjoy a stunning view of the city and the blue shimmering waters of the Mediterranean Sea is unavoidable.
